THINK OF ME - The Phantom of The Opera

I listen to this song in a talent show. This girl, Putri Ayu, has a beautiful soprano voice. I watched her several time and like her voice very much. Although she didn't win the competition, I believe there is a better future for her out there especially with that kind of voice. Wish you all the best Putri Ayu.

Think of Me is a song in The Phantom of the Opera. This movie is based on a novel above. The story is about the journey of a little girl named Christine. Christine was a singer in a Paris Opera House. One night she was kidnapped by Erik - the ghost of the opera - who lived at the cellar of the opera house. Erik fall in love with Christine during the kidnapping and so was Christine. Later Erik release her and asked her to wear a ring and to promise to be faithful to him.

Raoul, Christine's childhood friend, also in love with Christine. They met again at the opera house. This song - Think of Me - was Christine and Raoul's song. Here is the lyric:

CHRISTINE:

Think of me, think of me, fondly,
when we've said goodbye
Remember me once in a while
please promise me you'll try.

When you find that, once again, you long
to take your heart back and be free -
if you ever find a moment,
spare a thought for me ...

We never said our love was evergreen,
or as unchanging as the sea -
but if you can still remember,
stop and think of me ...

Think of all the things
We've said and seen
Don't think about the way
Things might have been ...

Think of me, think of me waking,
Silent and resigned
Imagine me, trying to hard
To put you from my mind

Recall those days, look back on all those times,
Think of the things we'll never do
There will never be a day,
When I won't think of you ...

RAOUL:

Can it be? Can it be Christine?
Bravo!

Long ago it seems so long ago
how young and innocent we were
She may not remember me,

But I remember her ...

CHRISTINE:

We never said our love was evergreen
Or as unchanging as the sea
But please promise me, that sometimes
You will think of me!

The complete story of The Phantom of the Opera was tragic to me. A love that was so big to be able to let go the one you love to be happy with someone else. I really want to watch the movie. I will look for it when I have time.

KARMA

Something comes up in my life, it's not new yet it surprise me so much. Truly I never imagine it will come from someone who I respect in life. I admire her in my own way, in her marriage which against her family culture, her works, her kind heart.

Lately I discover an attitude of her that really surprise me. I mean, a lot of people already warned me about this, but I don't want to judge someone like that. My rule is a positive mind creates a positive attitude. So I try my best to think positively about other and expect others will think positively about me. Is it wrong to have such rule?

New changes in my working life reveal the whole things. I refuse to believe it, but I reality shocked me. Why? I mean how can such a nice and religious person have that kind of attitude? I just have one question for her:

"Do you believe in karma?"

I don't think she believes it. I just hope that she will realize, how wrong she has been. From now on, I decide to stay as far as I could from her. I pray that God will guide her in the right path.

THE NECROMANCER

I read this book last week. When it comes to the book I like, it won't take much time for me to finish it. I finish this book in 3 days. Here is my review of the book:

The Necromancer is the fourth book of Nicholas Flamel's series, written by Michael Scott. Necromancer is a magic that can raise the dead and only Dr. John Dee has this skill of magic. Back to San Fransisco, the twins Sophie and Josh return to their aunt house where they encounter Scathach's twin sister, Aoife, who is desperate to find her sibling. The rapidly aging Flamels -- gearing up for a fight with the scary creatures on Alcatraz -- decide to take Josh to Prometheus to learn the Magic of Fire.

Having been unable to regain the two final pages of the Codex, Dee has failed his Elder and is now an outlaw. He enlists the help of Virginia Dare to reach San Francisco and begin his world-domination plans. With the Codex and the creatures on Alcatraz, he can control the World. All he needs is the help of the Archons. But for his plan to work, he must raise the Mother of the Gods from the dead. For that, he'll have to train a necromancer.

The Perfect Heart

A young man was standing in the middle of the town proclaiming that he had the most beautiful heart in the whole valley. A large crowd gathered and they all admired his heart for it was perfect. There was not a mark or a flaw in it.

But an old man appeared at the front of the crowd and said, "Your heart is not nearly as beautiful as mine."

The crowd and the young man looked at the old man's heart. It was beating strongly but full of scars. It had places where pieces had been removed and other pieces put in … but they didn't fit quite right and there were several jagged edges. The young man looked at the old man's heart and laughed.

"You must be joking," he said.

"Compare your heart with mine … mine is perfect and yours is a mess of scars and tears."

"Yes," said the old man...

"Yours is perfect looking … but I would never trade with you. You see, every scar represents a person to whom I have given my love….. I tear out a piece of my heart and give it to them … and often they give me a piece of their heart which fits into the empty place in my heart but because the pieces aren't exact, I have some rough edges."

"Sometimes I have given pieces of my heart away … and the other person hasn't returned a piece of his heart to me. These are the empty gouges … giving love is taking a chance. Although these gouges are painful, they stay open, reminding me of the love I have for these people too … and I hope someday they may return and fill the space I have waiting. So now do you see what true beauty is?

The young man stood silently with tears running down his cheeks. He walked up to the old man, reached into his perfect young and beautiful heart, and ripped a piece out. He offered it to the old man.

The old man took his offering, placed it in his heart and then took a piece from his old scarred heart and placed it in the wound in the young man's heart. It fit …. but not perfectly, as there were some jagged edges. The young man looked at his heart, not perfect anymore but more beautiful than ever, since love from the old man's heart flowed into his.

Footnote:
I saw this article on my favorite author, Mr. Paulo Coelho's blog. When I read it, I was moved by the story. How perfect is your heart? That question keep haunting me.

Focus

May not rest to fight
The game is just begin
The road to win is far
With Your help I will run

Hope as high as the sky
Dream big to reach my goal
Stay focus, focus, and focus!

Dear God,
Help me to stay focus on my goal,  lead me in your way so I know which path to choose. Hear me when I feel so low, encourage me to stand up, love me with Your unfailing love. And most of all... teach me to love You more everyday...
