DEFYING GRAVITY

I heard this song from GLEE. Actually I hardly watch TV, until a friend of mine (Grace) told me how funny this serial. This is a unique TV serial because this one combine between musical and romantic drama. Well, I have seen action and romantic serial, but none musical serial. When I watch it, I fall in love with it.

There are many song in this serial and this song draw my attention. It called Defying Gravity. Read the lyric below and if you know me well enough, you will know why I love this song very much.

DEFYING GRAVITY
by GLEE cast

Something has changed within me
Something is not the same
I'm through with playing by the rules
Of someone else's game
Too late for second-guessing
Too late to go back to sleep
It's time to trust my instincts
Close my eyes: and leap!

It's time to try
Defying gravity
I think I'll try
Defying gravity
Kiss me goodbye
I am defying gravity
And you wont bring me down!

I'm through accepting limits
''cause someone says they're so
Some things I cannot change
But till I try, I'll never know!
Too long I've been afraid of
Losing love I guess I've lost
Well, if that's love
It comes at much too high a cost!

I'd sooner buy
Defying gravity
Kiss me goodbye
I'm defying gravity
I think I'll try
Defying gravity
And you wont bring me down!

I'd sooner buy
Defying gravity
Kiss me goodbye
I'm defying gravity
I think I'll try
Defying gravity
And you won't bring me down!
bring me down!
ohh ohhh ohhhh!

Loved by You

Not good enough or too good
Not bad enough or too bad
Confuse of the standard
Rejected by the nature
Once I beg, twice I plead
And again, the answer is no
Don't you know how I feel?
Being rejected again and again
Seeing myself as a failure
Watching my soul shrink
Am I that bad? Am I too good?
Now I discovered a great love
Unfailing love that hold me
A love that never judge or self-seeking
A love that no man can't give
You love me for who I am
No matter how good or bad
Thank you for loving me, Jesus
I'm blessed and I'm loved by You

I Thank My God for You

This a brand new song in my choir, requested by the bride and groom. Never heard this song before but directly love it when I read the lyrics. The song called "I Thank My God for You" composed by Joseph M. Martin, inspired by Philippians 1:3.

I THANK MY GOD FOR YOU

I thank me God for you
Each time I think of you
Each time I pray for you,

I'm filled with thanks giving

For every word and deed
For helping those in need
I thank the Lord for you and give Him the glory

And even when we are apart
You are always in my heart
We are bonded by God's Holy Spirit

For we are one in God's embrace
One in love's unfailing grace
We give voice to one great aleluya

Aleluya aleluya aleluya aleluya aleluya aleluya aleluya
I give thanks
I thank my God and give my praise

And when the day is done
And every race is run
God's perfect grace will bring us home
We will be together forever and ever more

Wish I could attach the MP3 but I can't find it.

Smile

I remember a friend asked me to listen to this song when I was down. Thank you so much, big bro (Adi Susanto). Now, I can't say that I'm down but somehow I feel so low. It's like trying to reach the unreachable. It's like praying without no one listen.

Once more I hear the song, and sing together with the singer. This song tries to make me smile no matter what happen in life. It said that by smiling maybe there is a new hope for a better future... who knows... Although is hard to smile now, I'll try my very best to smile.

SMILE
By Charlie Chaplin

Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by...

If you smile
With your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just...

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying

Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just...

Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by...

If you smile
Through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile...

That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

IF by Rudyard Kipling

This poem is given to me by G. Thank you, G! He said he hated this poem when it was given to him as a graduation present from his high school but now he loves it. Well, i think this is a nice poem about life. Read it!

IF
by Rudyard Kipling (1899)

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;

If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings

And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,

' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Deo Dicamus Gratias

I love this song for a long time. I forget when or where I heard it for the first time, but the melody and its simple lyrics are beautiful. I want to sing this song with my choir team and finally, for July 10th wedding mass, we will sing it.

The song called "DEO DICAMUS GRATIAS" composed by Victor C. Johnson. It means "Give Thanks to God".

Deo Dicamus Gratias
Benedicamus Domino
Deo Gratias

This song reflects my heart today. I'm grateful and thankful to Jesus. He always loves me with the most wonderful love I ever know. He always there for me, to guide and to hold me. He listens to all my prayer and one by one He grants my wish in His time. I'm amazed by His love. Stumble on my knee I say "Thank you, Jesus. Thank you for everything".

Deo Gratias!
